About the Book
The only novel of Emily Brontë, Wuthering Heights is a gothic romance set in Yorkshire revolving around the relationship of the main characters Catherine and Heathcliff. At the time of publication, the stark cruelty in the novel challenged the prevailing Victorian morality of the day, so reception was very mixed. Today however, Wuthering Heights is widely considered a classic of English literature.
